The Place Where The Gods Come And Go!
The art of sandpainting is a centuries old tradition among the Pueblo- and Navajo-Tribes of New Mexico and Arizona. Sandpaintings are traditionally created for ceremonial purposes especially for use in healing rituals.
Among the Navajo, there are hundreds of recognized sandpaintings, each pertaining to particular ceremonies.
